Equilibrium movie review
What's the Summary of Equilibrium? Emotional outbursts are punished by death in a dystopian future in which a totalitarian ruler controls the population with a medication. The system is overthrown by a guy in charge of implementing the law.
Equilibrium, a Christian Bale film that has graced many a bargain bin DVD shelf, was Miramax's attempt to cash in (link to info) on The Matrix's success with their own dystopian future science fiction action film. However, because of the film's phenomenal success in Europe, they decided to release it as inexpensively as possible in the United States in order to avoid losing money. It isn't the most spectacular science fiction picture of the decade, with a $20 million budget, but how does it use its resources? By the way, what exactly is the plot of the story?
